Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, honey, black pepper, cayenne, and water.
  2. Blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp.
  4. Add salt and stir to combine.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or spiciness if needed.
  6. Pour into small shot glasses or storage containers.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Serve chilled as a wellness shot.
