
Strawberry Matcha Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 1/4 cup hot water (175°F)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Sift matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps
- Add hot water to the matcha and whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy
- In a blender, combine fresh strawberries, milk, honey, and vanilla extract
- Blend until smooth and creamy
- Fill two glasses with ice cubes
- Pour the strawberry mixture into each glass, filling about 3/4 full
- Slowly pour the prepared matcha over the strawberry mixture
- Use a spoon to gently swirl the layers together if desired
- Garnish with fresh strawberry slices
- Serve immediately while cold
