
Seasoned Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups long-grain rice
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Rinse rice in cold water until water runs clear
- Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant
- Add rice and stir to coat with butter
- Add chicken broth and all seasonings
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low
- Cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender
- Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes
- Fluff rice with a fork
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve
