Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried chiles de árbol
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Remove stems from chiles and shake out seeds.
  2. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chiles and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and peanuts.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  6. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  8. Transfer to a food processor.
  9. Add salt, sugar, and vinegar.
  10. Process until coarsely ground.
  11. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
