
Pork Lo Mein Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 ounces lo mein noodles
- 1 pound pork tenderloin, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, and red pepper flakes
- In another small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat
- Add pork and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through
- Remove pork from pan and set aside
- Add remaining oil to the pan and stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds
- Add bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes
- Return pork to the pan and add the sauce mixture
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1 minute until sauce thickens
- Add cooked noodles and green onions, tossing everything together
- Serve immediately while hot
