Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon tonkatsu sauce

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, mix ground beef and pork
  2. Add onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, and milk
  3. Beat in egg and seasonings
  4. Mix until well combined
  5. Shape into 4 oval patties
  6. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat
  7. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side
  8. Remove patties and set aside
  9. Add red wine, broth, ketchup, and tonkatsu sauce
  10. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened
  11. Return patties to skillet
  12. Serve hot with rice
