Special Notes
This incredibly simple ice cream bread recipe uses just a few ingredients to create a moist, sweet bread that's perfect for breakfast or dessert. The ice cream provides both moisture and sweetness, while the self-rising flour eliminates the need for additional leavening agents. The chocolate chips and nuts add texture and flavor, but can be omitted or substituted with other mix-ins. This bread is best served warm with butter or jam, or can be enjoyed as a sweet snack. The recipe can be easily doubled for larger gatherings and stores well at room temperature for up to 3 days.
