Special Notes

This Southern-style gumbo greens are a comfort food classic. The key is to cook the greens slowly to develop flavor. The flour creates a roux that thickens the broth. This dish pairs perfectly with cornbread and black-eyed peas. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently. For extra flavor, you can add smoked turkey or ham hocks.
