Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Trim ends from green beans
  2. Bring large pot of salted water to boil
  3. Add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes
  4. Drain and rinse with cold water
  5. In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat
  6. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute
  7. Add green beans and seasonings
  8. Cook for 5-7 minutes until tender
  9. Add lemon juice and almonds
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley
  11. Serve immediately
