Special Notes
This Din Tai Fung green bean recipe recreates the famous restaurant's signature dish. The combination of high heat stir-frying and steaming creates perfectly cooked beans that are tender but still have a slight crunch. The sauce is savory and slightly sweet, with the sesame oil adding a nutty finish. The key is to cook the beans quickly over high heat to maintain their bright color and crisp texture. This dish is perfect as a side dish or as part of a larger Chinese meal. The beans should be tender-crisp, not mushy.
