  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over each patty and cover the skillet.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Toast the hamburger buns lightly.

  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.

Special Notes

This hearty burger combines the best of Italian flavors with classic American comfort food. The name "borg" comes from the combination of "burger" and "bolognese" - it's essentially a meatball burger with marinara sauce and cheese. Perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner or weekend cookout. The patties can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before cooking.
